Website Change
Monitor 2.1 This software will monitor any Website for changes and
notify you when the change has happened.
Features:
* Check a Web Page for Any Change
* Check a Web Page for a specific Change
* Send a Email to notify you, when a change is found
* Play a customized sound when a change is found.
* Display a Message Box when a Change is found
Instructions on how to use The Web Site Change
Monitor Software:
1. Enter the web page url you would like to Monitor in the Text Box Labeled Site URL to Monitor.
2. Enter the number of minutes you would like to have the program wait before checking the site again, For example if you want the program to check the website
every 15 minutes for a change then enter the number 15 in the text box labeled minutes to wait.
3. Click the On Circle Icon to turn the monitoring on.
4. Click the Off Circle Icon to turn the Monitoring off. (I wouldn't of had to put this if someone did not ask)
5. Click Exit button to close the program.
6. Click the Minimize button if you want to minimize the software to the System Tray next to the Clock. If you want to click icon in the tray is should display the Software
7. Click the About Button to see who the program is register to.
8. Click Help for more help about this software.
9. Monitoring Options you can specify the type of Monitoring.
- A. Click the Notify of Any Change Circle if you want to be notified of any change to the webpage. For example if any text on the web page is changed you will be notified.
- B. Click Notify of a specific change if you want to know if specified text is has been modified on the webpage. For example if you want to be notified if the text "Sharewareisland.com" was removed from the page then enter the text Sharewareisland.com in the text box
labeled "Enter text to scan for" and click the Notify if Text is Found circle icon. If you want to be notified if the text Sharewareisland.com was added to the webpage then enter the text Sharewareisland.com in the text box labeled "Enter text to scan for" and click the Notify if Text is not Found circle icon.
10. Notification Options you can specify the way you want to be notified
of a change.
- A. Clicking the Play Wav File Check Box will play a sound when a
change is found if there is a .wav file specified in the text box labeled Enter Path to Wav File.
- B. Clicking the Play Continuously check box will keep playing the sound until you tell it to stop.
- C. Clicking the Send Email check box will send email every time a change is found on the web page. If you want to use this option you must fill in all the information in Email Options frame.
11. Email Options You only need to fill in this information if you want to be notified of a change via email.
- A. In the text box labeled user name you need to specify the login information for your email service.
It should be the same information you used to set up your Pop3 email settings in
Outlook email
- B. Password: In the text box labeled Password enter the password you use to login to your email account.
- C. Mail Server Requires Authentication: Check the check box if your email system
requires you to send authentication to send emails
- D. SMTP: Enter the SMTP Email URL Address for your mail server. For
Example (mail.vsisystems.com)
- E. From Email: Enter the Email Address you would like the email to from sent from.
- F. To Email: Enter the Email Address you would like the email to be sent to. You can enter more the one address
separated by a ; For Example Sales@Vsystems.com;Support@VsiSystems.com
- G. Subject: Enter the text you would like to see in the Subject of the email
- H. Message: Enter the text you would like to see in the Message of the email
- I. Send Test Email: Click the Sent Test email button after the all information is entered to see if the email is working
correctly.
- J. Click the OK button after the email notification is working correctly to save all the information.
The password is not saved because of security
